KuzeyDoğa Association, Prof. Dr. It is a non-governmental organization established in Kars in January 2008 as a product of the Kars-Iğdır Biodiversity Project initiated by Çağan H. Şekercioğlu in 2003. The provinces of Iğdır, Kars, Ağrı and Ardahan, where we carry out our work, are on intercontinental bird migration routes. The wetlands it hosts provide feeding, resting and protection opportunities for many species of birds during their migration journeys, and are also breeding grounds for some species. As KuzeyDoğa Association, we focused our scientific studies on nature conservation on the animals at the top of the food pyramid that will form the basis for understanding the ecosystem: Brown bears, wolves, lynxes and birds, which are the fastest followers of climate change. The first step to protect them and improve their condition is to have information about them and understand their vital needs.
